Homework:
I will be assigning homework on a regular basis. It will be collected and graded. What I will be looking for is clear and understandable (and correct) solutions to the homework problems. If you make a claim in the solution to a problem, you should be able to justify it. Learning how to write up a clear and precise proofs will be one of the primary goals of the course. Topology is a beautiful subject. However, when one first learns it, it is often difficult to see the "forest through the trees." Hopefully, by the end of the course, you will not only be comfortable working with the many topological definitions you will encounter, but will also have an idea of what the "big picture" is.
